Hot Beverage Recipes
White Chocolate Mocha
10 servings
Ingredients:
4 cups of cream
1 1/3 cup of white
chocolate baking squares
2 teaspoons of vanilla
1 teaspoon almond
extract
5 cups of hot strong
coffee
Directions:
Brew coffee. Combine all other ingredients in a pot and stir over
medium heat until chocolate is melted. Sugar the rims of coffee mugs
and fill mugs with half coffee and the other half of the white chocolate
mixture. Leave room for a splash of whip cream to top off this special
baby shower recipe.
Chai Tea
10-15 servings
Ingredients:
8 cups of milk
5 English Breakfast tea
bags
5 Cinnamon sticks
8 tablespoons of honey
3 teaspoons of vanilla
½ teaspoon of cardamom
Directions:
Combine water, teabags, and cinnamon sticks in a pot and bring to a
boil. Remove from heat and let stand for 10 minutes. Remove the tea
bags and cinnamon sticks. Stir in the remaining ingredients and heat
over medium heat until mixture is heated but do not bring the mixture to
boil. Sugar the rims of the mugs that you will serve them in and serve
with a blob of whip cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon. This one is sure
to make your baby shower guests squeal!
Hot Apple Cider
15 servings
Ingredients:
16 cups of apple juice
½ cup of brown sugar
13 cinnamon sticks
2 teaspoon of shredded
orange peel
16 thin apple wedges
Directions:
Combine apple juice, brown sugar, 1 cinnamon stick and orange peel and
bring to a boil. Simmer for 12 minutes. Remove from heat and strain
the orange peel and cinnamon chunks. Serve in mugs and garnish with
cinnamon sticks and apple slices. This is a great non-fat baby shower
recipe to serve to those who may be watching their weight.
