Punch & Cold Drink Recipes
Iced Green Tea
15 servings
Ingredients:
15 cups of water
½ cup sugar
2 ½ inches Ginger
peeled and sliced
14-16 green tea bags
Ice cubes
Add cut fruit if
desired
Directions:
In
a large pot bring the water to a boil, add the sugar and ginger. Stir
and let simmer with lid on for 5-7 minutes. Remove from stove; add tea
bags and let cool for 4-5 minutes. Throw away the tea bags and strain
ginger from the tea. Put the tea in a punch bowl and let sit for 3-4
hours. Add ice and lemon slices just before your baby shower guests
arrive.
Iced Coffee
12 servings
Ingredients:
9 cups of cold water
Ice cubes
1 ¼ cup ground coffee
3 teaspoon ground
cinnamon
6 teaspoons sugar
Directions:
Put cinnamon, sugar and coffee grounds into a filter lined coffee maker
and add water to the water compartment. Brew the coffee and let sit 2
hours to cool. Sugar the coffee mug rims and serve over ice. It is a
nice touch to add a dap of whip cream at the top of the cold coffees.
Baby Shower Punch
25 servings
Ingredients:
2 2-liter bottles of
ginger ale
Ice cubes
1 can frozen citrus
juice concentrate
1 can frozen strawberry
kiwi juice concentrate
1 cup frozen
blueberries, strawberries or raspberries (or a mixture of all three)
Directions:
Combine all liquid
ingredients in a large punch bowl. Just before baby shower guests
arrive add your ice cubes and frozen berries.
Cranberry Tea
10 servings
Ingredients
6 cups of water
8 green tea bags
2 mint tea bag
4 cups of cranberry
juice
Directions:
Bring water to a boil in a pot. Then remove from the heat. Put green and
mint tea bags in the pot. Cover with lid and let it sit for 10-15
minutes. Remove the tea bags from the pot. Chill for 2 hours before
adding cranberry juice. Add ice and cranberries if desired.
