Below is a list of baby shower games that require some physical activity. These games are great to get your guests mingling amongst each other. Most of the games listed below are free or cost very little to prepare. Feel free to change the rules or the context of the game in order to add your own creative twist that may complement your chosen baby shower theme.

Clothes Pin in the Bottle

This game is great fun! Have guests place a clothes pin between their knees and walk a short distance to a baby bottle and attempt to drop the pin into the bottle. Each time someone misses they are considered “out.” Keep playing until the last three guests are standing, and award the top three with a prize.

Guess Mom’s Belly Size

This activity only works if the shower is thrown for a pregnant mother, not a new mother. Pass around a roll of toilet paper and have guests take a guess at how big mom’s belly is, tearing off the appropriate amount of toilet paper. Once everyone has taken a guess have them measure her belly with the toilet paper, whoever is the closest without going over wins! You may want to reward the three closest guests.

Baby Bottle Chugging

This is a fun game to play. Give all guests a baby bottle filled with apple juice, punch, or another non-alcoholic beverage that you are serving at the party. On your marks, get set, GO! It’s a race to see who can chug the contents of the baby bottle the fastest! This game is a lot of fun. It works best with smaller bottles to make sure your guests don’t leave the party feeling bloated.

Make a Play-Dough Baby

In this baby shower activity pair up your guests (ideally pair people who may not know each other that well in order to break the ice). Give each pair approximately the same amount of play-dough and allow them 3 minutes to mould the best baby possible. After 3 minutes are up have the group judge each team’s baby moulding through applause. The winning team will receive the loudest applause.

The Poopy Diaper

This game is a classic! Crush up 3 different chocolate bars in three different diapers; label the diapers #1, #2, and #3. Send all three diapers around the circle and have the guests take a guess at what each diaper contains and write it down on a piece of paper. Once everyone has guessed and documented their guess go around the circle and have the guests say what their guesses were. This game is sure to get the crowd laughing!

Taste Test

This is a fun shower game. Remove the labels from 5 different types of baby food and use a piece of masking tape to label the jars with #1, #2…#5. Have your contestants taste the baby food contents within unlabeled baby food jars. Watch the looks of disgust as you pass around green beans! Have them write down their guesses on paper. Once everyone has completed their taste testing and documented their guesses go around the circle and have everyone reveal their guesses and reward the person or people who got the highest number of correct answers.
